The lower limb supports the pelvis which, in turn, supports the spine and upper stories body. Correcting poor muscle use in the lower limb can minimize, if not correct, a variety of problems from pronation to knock-knees, hyper-extension and beyond. The result is improvement in the alignment and function of the pelvis and upper body. Based on the work taught to Deborah Lessen by Carola Trier, we will observe and assess posture starting from the soles of the feet and working up through the body, learning the theory behind addressing structural and functional posture problems. Pilates repertoire will be utilized to demonstrate and experience dynamic muscular support.
